Bring dashi stock to a gentle simmer (do not boil).

Soak wakame in water for 5 minutes, drain.

Add tofu cubes and wakame to the stock.

Remove a ladle of broth, dissolve miso paste in it, then add back to pot.

Serve immediately topped with sliced green onion. Never boil after adding miso.
